Sorry for not getting back to you sooner - but yes, 2yds is fine for the cropped peasant top. I used Atira's Fashions #10 "Parie's Peasant Blouse" pattern...and it calls for 2yds.

I cut out patterns bigger(I find those patterns a lot of times smaller too). I cut that one pattern out big because you can always make it smaller but not bigger. It took a lot of measuring over and over to get it just right. Best thing to do is cut one out of cheap fabric like muslin or out of old bed sheets and see how it turns out before cutting into your good fabric.
