Who are ya?

I'm a mortgage broker by day (oh dear!) and in my funtime I'm a FCBD Teacher, Sister Studio one half of Akula Tribal Bellydance!!.. www.akulatribal.co.uk

I would never have thought that a holiday to Egypt in 2001 and lessons with the hotel bellydancer would have changed my life in such a positive way!!...Back home I found a local cabaret class and was thrilled to find I could make my body move in ways I never thought possible!!..One class a week very quickly turned into 6 hours a week with as many workshops as I could find thrown in for good measure. Choreography was never really my thing so when I discovered ATS about 4 years ago I was hooked on this 'new' cool style. I remember being completely blown away the first time I saw a FatChanceBellyDance vid on youtube!!...I was lucky to find an ATS class with the most amazing teachers Deana and Sarah and danced with them and their troupe Tribe of Kismet for over 3 years. In May 2009 together with my wonderful dance partner Maxine we formed Akula Tribal Bellydance in order to perform and teach our own students. We also dance with Deana (who continues to be my teacher!) and Tribal Unity.

ATS has enriched my life beyond all expectations and has brought me into contact with so many fantastic people who I may not have met otherwise!!...

I received my GS Certification in Glastonbury in October 08 from Carolena & Megha. Became a FCBD Teacher on the 27th August 09 and was granted Sister Studio status on 1st September 09...
