How do you.... questions on using Ning

for "ning-bats" (as in ding-bats!)
can anyone explain how to get the discussion posts/replies in chronological order, as in "newest first" like tribe did? I don't like "threaded" as it seems to be now...

I'd like to know the same thing. I have my tribe set up to NOT appear threaded, but to appear chronologically, newest entries at the top. It's just easier to read and follow that way (well, at least for me). If anyone knows how to get ning to do that, please share.

**OR** out of sheer curiosity, has anyone contacted the sys admins at ning about any planned enhancements to the site? Just a thought. I'm sure their membership would increase by BOATLOADS of tribe.net members if they made this site a little more tribe-like.

Here's the thing I dont' understand - if Tribe.net is the ONLY network site of its kind, unlike all the others (ew, facebook, myspace, livejournal) so much that we love it too much to quit even as it's gasping it's last breath, WHY doens't anyone w/$$$ see how valuable it is??? And invest, or buy it, or something??

I think this is how you leave a network...sign into whatever network you don't want - go to your profile page - scroll all the way to the bottom and there should be something about "leaving" the network.

my question is... how do i get ning to stop sending me emails about what OTHER people do in ning?
it's weird and it's overloading my inbox =p haha
in my settings i have all the email notifications off except for letting me know that i got a friend request -- so what's up with the "suchnsuch posted a comment on blahblahblah group"?
it freaks me out!

I had the mega-emails coming to me, too - I just stopped all of them. Have you tried to do another "save"?
??Could be the first time didn't "take"??

i haven't gotten anymore, i cleared my "follow" list which i dont think i added anything to anyway, but maybe it does it automatically. i'll also try just stopping ALL notifications

Okay...how do you add the lil music player thingie to your page? I looked under the applications, but I don't really see one that does that...but I know it can be done...*shrugs*

Oooh...thank you! I'll try it out when my brain is working a bit better...getting a bit late and I have class in the morn, so it probably wouldn't be a good idea to try to figure it out at the moment. :-p
