Goodbye Tribe RIP

Well thats it Tribe is gone! I cant believe after all these years. I feel as though I have lost a Friend. Indeed I have lost many friends. There I was this morning trying to get onto Tribe after the down time this weekend to find the page no longer exists. I googled tribe and there on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tribe.net In black and white "As of September 5, 2008, www.tribe.net no longer exists."

I left tribe last month. I just couldnt take all the down time, the missing posts, the missing photo's. It was to much of a headache. I do miss it though,.

I think I totally gave up...I tested myself and did not login to tribe since the last time I posted anything in this forum. The icon is still in my firefox shortcuts, but I refrained myself from clicking, until today. Did I miss getting in? yeah a little the first few days....but later I felt rather tempted to just take the shortcut down and forget about it altogether....nope don't really need tribe, if I want to find out about events in my area there's the nwbellydance blog. that's about what I login for on tribe anyway, and yes, some of the cool bs in a couple of tribes but other than that, don't need tribe, really, I can bs just as much anywhere else.

Tribe had been really good the last few weeks [well since "the big crash" but this morning.... NOPE.. down... morte'.... =-(

I wanted to read the stuff that people posted last night.. follow up on some great discussions....

maybe we need to "cut and paste" all our tribe stuff's over here !

I gave up on Tribe a while ago, and a whole bunch of us moved on to Facebook. I like it here, but I just cant' see to 'get into' Ning. Just doesn't seem to be active unelss Tribe crashes. So I stick to Facebook :)

i've been on Facecraque for a couple of years, and i really like Tribe as well, when it's working. Like Devi, there are so many discussion threads that I am following, it's shame when it goes down.

I was wondering!! WTF!!! Everyone I know is able to get on. Was starting to wonder it this has anything to do with my internet provider!!
